The defendant, Romie Jones, appeals his conviction for witness tampering. He argues that the trial court erred in: (1) admitting his statement that had previously been ruled inadmissible; and (2) instructing the jury on witness tampering. He also raises an ineffective assistance of counsel challenge. We reverse and remand.
