INTRODUCTION

The arresting officer stopped Randall J. Bromm's dark-colored vehicle in reliance upon incorrect information from the vehicle's registration, which stated that the vehicle was white. In the subsequent prosecution for driving under the influence, Bromm sought to suppress evidence of the traffic stop.
