I. INTRODUCTION

Buckley C. Deterding appeals from a decree of dissolution entered by the district court. In the decree, the district court dissolved Buckley's marriage to Teresa A. Deterding, divided a portion of the parties' marital assets and debts, and ordered Buckley to pay alimony to Teresa.
