Aaron D. Manning pled no contest to two counts of attempted first degree murder and filed a direct appeal to this court, which we dismissed without opinion at Manning's request. See State v. Manning, 14 Neb.App. xliv (case No. A-05-1112, Dec. 19, 2005). He then filed a motion for postconviction relief.
