I. SUMMARY

A jury convicted the appellant, Daunte L. Goynes, of murder in the second degree and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. The district court sentenced him to a term of 60 years' to life imprisonment for the murder conviction and a consecutive term of 10 to 20 years' imprisonment for the weapon conviction.
