Sand Livestock Systems, Inc. (Sand Livestock), Furnas County Farms (FCF), Charles W. Sand, Jr., and Timothy A. Cumberland filed suit in the district court for Keith County against Amy Svoboda, Char Hamilton, Duane Fortkamp, and Area Citizens for Resources and Environmental Concerns (ACRES), bringing actions for libel and false light invasion of privacy (defamation suit).
