ELMORE, Judge.
Bill Raymond Simpson ("defendant") appeals his conviction of being a registered sex offender unlawfully on premises used by minors in violation of N.C. Gen.Stat. § 14-208.18(a) (2013). Defendant's appeal is before us on writ of certiorari. Defendant argues that his indictment is fatally defective and that the trial court erred in denying his motion to dismiss.
