University of Michigan and Star Insurance Company (collectively "Defendants") appeal from the Opinion and Award of the North Carolina Industrial Commission ("the Commission") awarding Norlinda Philbeck ("Plaintiff") workers' compensation benefits. The primary issue before us is whether the Commission erred in concluding that Plaintiff's accident was due to an unexplained fall and, therefore, compensable.
