Procedural History and Evidence

On 18 November 2009 Defendant Rondell Luvell Sanders ("Sanders") was tried on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Sanders left the courtroom during jury selection, did not return, and the trial was therefore held in his absence. On 19 November 2009 the jury returned a guilty verdict.
