Defendant was convicted of first degree murder and appeals. For the following reasons, we find no error.

I. Background

The State's evidence tended to show that around 5:00 p.m. on 27 December 2009, Ms. Jessie Lynch and her boyfriend, Mr. Tronyale Daniel, were riding in a vehicle in Rocky Mount.
