Because neither a verbatim transcript nor adequate alternative is available to conduct a meaningful review of defendant's habitual felon status hearing, we reverse and remand for a new habitual felon status hearing. We hold there was no error in defendant's drug trial. However, because trial counsel conceded defendant's guilt to the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and the record is incomplete as to whether defendant consented to such a concession...
