As a result of an automobile collision between Plaintiff Jerry Grimsley and another driver, Grimsley was injured and incurred "significant damages" that exceeded the limits of the other driver's liability insurance. Grimsley filed an underinsured motorist ("UIM") claim with his automobile insurance provider, Defendant Government Employees Insurance Company ("GEICO"), seeking coverage for the remainder of Grimsley's damages.
