Rasean Marquis Potts (defendant) was found guilty by a jury of felony possession of cocaine. Defendant was sentenced to a minimum of five months and a maximum of six months in the custody of the Department of Corrections. The trial court suspended this sentence and placed defendant on supervised probation for twenty-four months. The court also required defendant to provide a DNA sample pursuant to N.C. Gen.Stat. § 15A-266.4 and to pay $2,990.50...
