Plaintiffs sued defendants for money they alleged defendants owed them pursuant to an agreement between the parties. The trial court entered judgment in favor of defendants, concluding that the agreement demonstrated by the evidence was required by N.C. Gen.Stat. § 22-2, the Statute of Frauds, to be in writing, but that the agreement was not in compliance with the Statute of Frauds. Plaintiffs appeal.
