Rajohn Almann Cruz ("Defendant") appeals as a matter of right from his convictions for second-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.1 On appeal, Defendant argues that the trial court erred when it refused his request for a jury instruction of voluntary manslaughter based on imperfect self-defense.
