Defendant Darrell Wayne Maness was indicted for one count of murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, three counts of assault with a firearm on a law enforcement officer, and one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Defendant was tried by jury and on 31 March 2006 was convicted of one count of first-degree murder on the basis of malice, premeditation and deliberation...
