Defendant was found guilty of two counts of first degree sexual offense and one count of first degree rape. Defendant has argued several issues on appeal, one of which we deem dispositive. The dispositive issue is whether it was prejudicial error for the trial court to fail "to comply with the mandatory requirements of N.C.G.S. § 15A-1233(a) for responding to [the] jury['s] request to review evidence during deliberations[.]" For the following reasons...
