Defendant-employer Red Simpson and defendant-carrier Liberty Mutual Insurance Company (collectively "defendants") appeal from an Opinion and Award of the North Carolina Industrial Commission ("Commission") approving a compromise settlement agreement and awarding attorney's fees and costs in favor of plaintiff-employee Scott Chaisson ("plaintiff").
