¶ 1. On May 18, 2011, a jury convicted Jerry Stribling of manslaughter. The Leake County Circuit Court sentenced him to twenty years' imprisonment in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with eighteen years to serve, two years suspended, and two years of post-release supervision. Stribling filed a motion requesting a new trial or a judgment notwithstanding the verdict, which the circuit court denied. Feeling aggrieved...
