The Rankin County Circuit Court sentenced him to twenty-five years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with twelve years to serve, thirteen years suspended, and five years of supervised probation. On February 1, 2012, Ballard filed a motion to vacate his sentence, which the circuit court dismissed, treating it as a motion for post-conviction...
