¶ 1. On September 28, 2010, a grand jury in Simpson County, Mississippi, indicted Christopher West for the sale of methamphetamine. Ultimately, a jury convicted West, and Circuit Judge Eddie Bowen sentenced him to thirty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. West filed a motion requesting a judgment notwithstanding the verdict or, in the alternative, a new trial and cited Judge Bowen's failure to recuse...
