This opinion represents the consolidation of three separate appeals that arose from the same nucleus of operative facts.1 Albert "Butch" Lee worked as an instructor at the Mississippi Fire Academy for more than twenty-one years. On November 5, 2004, Lee injured his back while he was on the job and preparing a training scenario for fire academy candidates....
