¶ 1. Jermell Victory was convicted in the Circuit Court of Coahoma County of the murder of Darron Sykes and of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The circuit court sentenced Victory, respectively, to life and ten years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), with the sentences to run consecutively.
