¶ 1. A jury sitting before the Lauderdale County Circuit Court found Derrick T. Williams guilty of capital murder, armed robbery, and theft of a motor vehicle. For his armed robbery conviction, the circuit court sentenced Williams to twenty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC). For capital murder, the circuit court sentenced Williams to life in the custody of the MDOC without the possibility of parole...
