On February 27, 2009, Arvin Phillip Johnson was convicted of possession of cocaine and sentenced to sixteen years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with nine years suspended, five years of post-release supervision, and a $3,000 fine.1 The Court of Appeals affirmed Johnson's conviction and sentence.
