MAXWELL, J., for the Court:

¶ 1. William Hogan fatally shot his wife in the face. A DeSoto County jury convicted him of murder. Though he admitted killing his wife, Hogan argues the circuit judge erred in denying him a directed verdict or new trial because: (1) he was temporarily insane during the shooting; and (2) at most, he committed manslaughter in the heat of passion, not deliberate-design murder. Finding substantial evidence supports the jury's decision...
