¶ 1. On August 12, 2008, Richard Partain pleaded guilty to manslaughter by culpable negligence. Following his plea, the DeSoto County Circuit Court sentenced Partain to twenty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with fifteen years to serve, five years suspended, and five years of post-release supervision.
