¶ 1. On May 6, 1996, a Lowndes County grand jury indicted Edward Lamon Blunt for the murder of Michael Taylor. Following a jury trial in August 1996, a jury convicted Blunt of murder. Blunt received a life sentence in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
