IRVING, J., for the Court:

¶ 1. A jury in the Holmes County Circuit Court found Eddie Timms guilty of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen firearm. The circuit court then sentenced Timms to serve five years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) for the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, with three years suspended and two years to serve, and to serve five years in the custody of the MDOC...
