¶ 1. A Lamar County grand jury returned a two-count indictment against Charles Anderson for murder and arson. During his first trial, Anderson was convicted of manslaughter, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict on the arson charge. Anderson was retried on the arson charge, and the jury found him guilty. The trial court sentenced him to twenty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department...
