¶ 1. Richard Ray Timmons was charged in the Circuit Court of Lauderdale County, Mississippi, with four counts of statutory rape, which stemmed from four separate allegations of sexual encounters with a fourteen-year-old girl. He was convicted on Count I of the indictment and found not guilty on the remaining three counts. He was sentenced to twenty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with ten years suspended...
