¶ 1. Summerall Electric Company, Inc., Don South Plumbing, Inc., and South and Son Construction Company, Inc., (collectively, the subcontractors) brought suit against the Church of God at Southaven (the Church), alleging that the Church, as the property owner, was liable for costs owed to the subcontractors by the general contractor, National Church Services, Inc. (NCS), which was not a party to the suit.1
