On December 7, 2006, Marguerite Holder and her husband, Herbert Holder, (plaintiffs) filed a medical-negligence suit against Orange Grove Medical Specialities, P.A., Boyd Benefield, M.D., and John Does One through Five (defendants). The complaint alleged that on October 14, 2004, Marguerite suffered a hemorrhagic stroke as a result of the defendants' failure to monitor and adjust her medication levels.
