¶ 1. In November 1990, Khristoffer Hearron was convicted of possession of cocaine and sentenced to serve three years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) and placed in the Regimented Inmate Discipline Program (RID).1 In June 1991, after completing the RID program, the remainder of Hearron's sentence was suspended and he was placed on five years' probation.
