¶ 1. On February 5, 2008, a Tunica County grand jury indicted George Lee Butler as a habitual offender for burglary of a dwelling. After a one-day jury trial held on April 15, 2008, the jury returned a guilty verdict, and the trial court sentenced Butler as a habitual offender to serve twenty-five years, without eligibility for probation or parole, in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
