¶ 1. Barry Logan filed suit in the Oktibbeha County Circuit Court against Overly Electric Co. (Overly) and Lloyd G. Oliphant & Sons Paint Co., Inc. (Oliphant) alleging their negligence caused him to fall down a unlit stairwell on a construction site. Both defendants moved for summary judgment. The trial court granted full summary judgment to Overly and partial summary judgment to Oliphant only on the issue of punitive damages....
