¶ 1. Following his indictment for armed robbery, Trey Allen Beamon elected to file a "Petition to Plead Guilty" to the lesser crime of "strong arm robbery[,]" in exchange for the State's recommendation of a fifteen-year sentence in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections ("MDOC"). Thereafter, the Circuit Court of Neshoba County, Mississippi, although not required to do so, accepted the State's recommendation...
