¶ 1. This case comes before the Court from the order of the Circuit Court of Pike County granting summary judgment in favor of Statcare, PLLC (Statcare). Adrienne Thornton filed a lawsuit seeking damages. She alleged that her employment with Wal-Mart was terminated because Statcare disclosed to Wal-Mart confidential medical information concerning Thornton without her authorization.
