Marc A. Readman appeals his conviction following a jury trial for statutory rape in the second degree, section 566.034, RSMo 2000, and sentence of seven years imprisonment. In his sole point on appeal, Mr. Readman claims the trial court erred in overruling his Batson objection to the State's peremptory strike to remove a venireperson from the jury.
