Appellant Adam Lee Sterling was found guilty after a jury trial of one count of first-degree premeditated murder in violation of Minn.Stat. § 609.185(a)(1) (2012), and one count of second-degree murder in violation of Minn.Stat. § 609.19, subd. 1(1) (2012).
