Ronald Troyer suffered a work-related injury to his lower back while working for Vertlu Management Company and Kok & Lundberg Funeral Homes. Troyer underwent surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital, a facility owned by HealthEast Care System. Troyer's injury required surgical implantation of a spinal cord stimulator.
