Following a trial, a jury found respondent Derrick Baynes guilty of four counts of murder for the shooting death of his girlfriend, Lucretia Dixon. The four counts were second-degree (intentional) murder, second-degree (unintentional) murder, first-degree (heat of passion) manslaughter, and second-degree (culpable negligence) manslaughter.
