In August 2011, when the complainant was 23 years old, she reported to the Lansing Police Department that defendant, her stepfather, had sexually molested her on multiple occasions between the ages of 8 and 16. Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of nine counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct (CSC-I),
