Petitioner, Mary Ann Lamkin, appeals as of right an order denying her petition for a personal protection order (PPO) against respondent, Daniel Engram. We conclude that the circuit court committed reversible error when it dismissed Lamkin's petition without first interviewing Lamkin or conducting a hearing as required by MCR 3.705. We therefore vacate the circuit court's dismissal and remand for further proceedings.
