In this dispute involving a fire-insurance policy, defendant, plaintiffs' insurance company, appeals as of right a partial grant of summary disposition to plaintiffs.1 Defendant argues that the trial court erred by ruling that plaintiffs' appraiser, Jeffery Moss, is "independent" under MCL 500.2833(1)(m) and that he may proceed with the appraisal process.
