A jury convicted defendant, Pecola Jamison, of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder1 and felony-firearm.2 The trial court sentenced Jamison to a prison term of 1 to 10 years for assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and the mandatory consecutive 2-year prison term for felony firearm.
