At issue in this case is whether the statutorily required presumptive award of custody given to a mother when an acknowledgment of parentage (AOP) is executed pursuant to the Acknowledgment of Parentage Act, MCL 722.1001 et seq., serves as an "initial custody determination" under the Uniform Child-Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA), MCL 722.1101 et seq.
