Defendant entered a conditional plea of no contest to charges of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, MCL 750.84, and unlawful use of a harmful chemical substance, MCL 750.200i(1)(b). The circuit court sentenced him to concurrent prison terms of 6-1/2 to 10 years' imprisonment for the assault conviction and 20 to 40 years' imprisonment for the conviction of unlawful use of a harmful chemical substance.
