[¶ 1] Daudoit Butsitsi appeals from a judgment of conviction entered by the court (Horton, J.) following a jury trial for the intentional or knowing murder of his roommate. 17-A M.R.S. § 201(1)(A) (2012). Butsitsi argues that the trial court erred when it concluded that he waived his Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination and ordered him to answer a question posed by the State on cross-examination.
