Following the death of Anthony Fusco, Sr. ("Mr. Fusco"), appellants, Mafalda Fusco and the surviving children, filed a complaint in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County against appellees, Kevin Shannon, M.D. ("Dr. Shannon") and his practice, Hematology-Oncology Consultants, P.A.
